Mel Ramos (USA 1935-2018) is a well-known pop art artist.His work has often been seen alongside work by pop art artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg and James Rosenquist in the United States and Europe.

In his work Ramos combines realistic depiction of people (mostly women) and consumer products against abstract backgrounds. Since 1959, he has participated in more than one hundred and twenty group exhibitions.
